Wiring work is the bread and butter of a licensed electrician. New circuits where the house needs them, outlets and switches that work every time, and older systems brought up to what the code and your insurance company expect today.

Eastern Ontario's housing stock spans a century and a half, and the wiring inside it does too. Century homes in places like Alexandria, Hawkesbury, and old-village Casselman still hide knob-and-tube and 60-amp services. Postwar houses carry ungrounded two-prong circuits and the occasional aluminum branch wiring. Even 1990s builds predate the GFCI and AFCI protection now required in kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and outdoors. None of this is cause for panic, and all of it is worth knowing about honestly, which is what an assessment gives you.

Whether it's one new circuit for a freezer in the garage or a staged whole-house rewire, the approach is the same: a written scope and quote, work filed with the ESA where the code requires it, tidy fishing and patching that respects your finished walls, and a panel directory that tells the truth when it's done.
